We’re proud to introduce Opelika Main Street’s Hometown Heroes Banner Program, a new way to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. This program will recognize veterans and active-duty service members with meaningful connections to Opelika. Families and loved ones are invited to honor their heroes by sponsoring a banner that will be proudly displayed in Downtown Opelika.

About the Program:

Each double-sided 21” x 52” street banner features:

• The honoree’s name

• Branch and Dates of Service

• High-resolution photo

• And a patriotic design celebrating their service

🏅 Eligibility

To participate, honorees must meet the following criteria:

• Be honorably discharged, retired, or currently serving on active duty

• Have a personal connection to Opelika (e.g., current or former resident, employee, or student)

📌 Program Details

• Cost: $200 per banner

• Display Period: Mid-October through Veteran’s Day

• Spots Available: Limited to 30 banners – early application is encouraged
